How WildCard counts visits and uses AI to help you find costumes
To understand what is working on the site, WildCard records which pages are opened, roughly how long a page is in use, which costumes are viewed, and broad browse filters (like size or category). We do not record what you type into search or any form, and we do not record your name, email, address or payment details as part of this counting. If you are signed in, a visit can be connected to your WildCard account so we can help you if something goes wrong.
A random code is stored in your browser so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. The code has no meaning outside WildCard. It is not shared with any other company, there are no advertising or third-party analytics trackers, and the information is not sold. Only WildCard’s own team can see it.
WildCard uses an AI service (Anthropic’s Claude) to make costumes easier to find. It is used in three places, and in each one we send only the photo or the words, never your name, email, address, payment details or account.
Listing photos. When a costume is listed, AI looks at its photos and writes simple search tags, such as colors, sparkle, shape and mood, and dance styles it could suit. These tags are only there to help search. They never change what the seller wrote, and our team can correct a tag that looks wrong.
Search by photo. If you upload an inspiration photo, it is sent to the AI service to see what kind of costume it shows, and we use that to show you similar costumes. We do not save your photo, add it to your account or keep a copy. It is gone once your results appear. Please use pictures of costumes rather than photos of people.
Describing what you want. Most descriptions, like “dark contemporary with sparkle,” are understood by WildCard itself. If you use wording we do not recognize, those words may be sent to the AI service to be understood, and the phrase (with nothing that identifies you) may be saved so the next search is faster. We do not use any of this for advertising, and we do not sell it.
